A Philosophical Guide to a Future Worth Wanting

Technology and the Virtues

This book identifies many challenges in the world presented by emerging technologies including the cultural shifts they cause. It discusses morals and ethics in technology in that we can establish a consistent resource for coping, and even flourishing in our uncertain technology-driven society. This can apply to any kind of technology including social medias, AI, VR, robotics, biomedical enhancements, etc.

I believe the rapid advancement of technology in all sectors is of large concern; and arguably can be a cause or have a hand in most current events happening these days.

If there were a way, I do believe that humankind could be better by establishing among ourselves some "sacred texts" dictating ethics around technology. Aside from that statement, I have no answers or explanations to how.

I enjoyed the thoughts that this book made me think.
